With Professor Newland Archer on bass and Helmsman Phineas Wigglesworth IX on drums, the stern of the boat is guaranteed to be pumping out solid two-steppin’ grooves!

Signal Fire is a group of diverse musicians with a common goal, to spread unity through music. Sam on Someday is an ongoing live music series hosted by Time Sawyer’s Sam Tayloe that brings together diverse songwriters and musicians in collaborative performances. The show always shines a spotlight on songwriting, whether it’s freshly minted songs by local songwriters, or favorite covers. Musical guests include fan favorites from the Charlotte and North Carolina music community, as well as touring bands and artists. Each Sam on Someday is a unique, one-time-only event that is not to be missed. It’s a genre-busting experience where a rapper, a banjo player, a folk singer, a violinist and a blues guitarist might share the stage and create something completely new together. The project started as a weekly livestream every Sunday during the pandemic but has since grown and flourished as live events at some of NC’s great music venues. Now it can show up anywhere and anytime, so “Sam on Sunday” has become “Sam on Someday.”
But one thing hasn’t changed: Sam on Someday is still a way to reconnect with live music and with friends in an intimate setting. It’s a warm and welcoming celebration of NC’s music scene.

The Get Right Band is a psychedelic indie rock power trio committed to relentlessly following their muses to honest self-expression, to whatever excites them and pushes them into unexplored territory, to capturing some version of truth. American Songwriter writes that the Asheville, NC based group, “filters 60’s/70’s psychedelia and 90’s alternative rock through a modern lens–as if Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Nirvana co-wrote an album produced by Danger Mouse and Dan Auerbach.”
Mellow Swells is a band from the triangle area that soar blasts funk, rock, and intense improvisation to its listeners.Their influences range from traditional music all the way to modern funk/pop. Expect to get blasted by some low end bass, sweaty by some deep grooves, and slapped by soulful vocals and soaring riffs.
The Hourglass Kids began as a group of high school friends jamming in the various basements of Hickory, NC. Over time, they have evolved into a seven-piece reggae-jam-rock collective known for their mind-melting live performances. Pulling from the musical creativity of all seven members and the unique lyricism of four songwriters and vocalists, The Kids traverse a breadth of stylistic and emotional terrain that includes roots reggae, psychedelic rock, neo-soul, hip-hop, and jazz-rock.
